NYX Round Lipsticks: Circe, Orange Soda, Fig Review And Swatches

I always wanted to try some NYX make-up, the first thing that caught my eye was the round lipsticks since bloggers have been raving about it for quite some time. I was really intrigued by it but keep putting it off. I was in a dire need of lip concealer for my lips, I always use normal concealers but they just dry my lips up even more. The first thing that came to my mind was the NYX roundlipsticks and that they have nude shades so I started looking for shops that sell them. I was lucky since I found one online that has them on-hand though limited shades but at a reasonable price (bought each for 150php, other shops sell them for 180php and above lols).

I was caught up between Circe and Orange Soda since they are both nude colors so I just bought them both. I was torn between Doll and Fig but I settled on Fig since the photos on the site show it to be a cute, natural pink shade.

On to the review~ I bought them online and after paying, I received them 3 days later via LBC.

Cute packaging, you can actually see the lip color on the bottom.
NYX Round Lipticks: Circe, Orange Soda, Fig

Swatch: Orange Soda, Circe, Fig

- Nude beige with cool brown undertone. I thought it would blend well with my skin but it looked too light~!! I was hoping it would just be right but still it's good as a lip concealer. Just apply on lips, blot with tissue and apply your favorite lip color on top.

Orange Soda- Warm, muted orange-y peach color. I look like an anemic, sick person when I use this which is kinda funny lols. Anyway, It's to light and orange-y to be a lip concealer.

Fig- Light pink shade. I thought they would look a natural pink on me like in the pictures but turns out it's more light. It reminds me of Barbie, bubblegum pink.

  • Creamy, soft and glides easily.
  • Pigmented.
  • Cheap!
  • Convenient packaging since you can see what's the lip color at the bottom.

  • Staying power is so-so, 2-3 hours then you need to retouch
  • Not true to the color. Yeah, I have my uber pigmented lips to blame for that.
  • Limited shades available.
  • Not available locally, you can online purchase online.

The downside of purchasing online is that you only have reviews and pictures to look at. You expect them to work out for you as well but then they don't. Tsk. It's a hit or miss, like me with these lipsticks. I think this purchase was both a hit and miss. I'll keep Circe and Fig but I think I'll just give the Orange Soda lippie to my sisters.

That would be all! What's your fave NYX Round Lipstick?

Nichido Mineral Precise Eyeliner, Ever Bilena Lip Liner in Rose and NYX Nude Pink Lip Pencil Review

Woot~ title is so long. Anyway, I'll be reviewing three products today. I have been using them for quite a while now so I think it's time I give them a proper review.

Nichido Mineral Precise Liner

It's my first liquid liner, I'm used to eyeliner sticks, pencil or cream liners.

  • Cheap! It's only 150php.
  • You can easily find it on malls.

  • Sometimes the "black ink" and the "water" separate when you apply it so you have to shake it first.
  • The applicator tip is easily bent if your not careful. It's hard like the ones on the tip of permanent markers and sometimes the "fiber/hair" idk what you call it sticks out.
  • Easily comes off if you rub it.
  • Not really a true black color.

Will I repurchase? I think so. For it's cheap price I think it still serves it's purpose so I can't complain about it lols. But still, I like using this liquid eyeliner for making precise lines.

Swatches: Nichido Precise Eyeliner, NYX Nudy Pink Lipliner Pencil, Ever Bilena Lip Liner in Rose

NYX Lip Pencil in Nude Pink
I always use lipliners before I put on lipstick since my lips are pretty pigmented, lip liners help to tone it down and make the lipstick last longer. Shade is really pink, light mauve-y pink to be exact.

  • Soft and can be easily applied.
  • Pigmented.
  • True to the color, it really covers my lip color.
  • Staying power is good.
  • Cheap, I bought mine for 145php since it was on sale.

  • Not available locally. You can mostly buy them on online sites.
  • Tip can be easily broken by sharpener so better be careful.
  • Limited shades available from online stores.

Will I repurchase? Yes but not this shade. I think I'll buy a neutral colored one next time.

Ever Bilena Lip Liner in Rose
My first lip liner from this brand. The color is kinda dark pinkish-red.

  • Super pigmented, it's the first thing I noticed when I applied it on my lips.
  • Cheap.
  • Available locally.
  • Can be applied easily
  • Staying power is good, I just used this without my lipstick once and it stayed on my lips for a good 4-5 hours.

  • Has shimmers, I don't like shimmers on my lipliners or lipsticks since it makes my lips look bigger. :P
  • Tip is too soft. I applied it once and it just broke off.
  • Limited shades available. I think there are only two shades.

Will I repurchase? No. I'm not a fan of shimmers and I think the color is too dark on my lips, I'm looking for lighter colored pencil liners so when I put lipstick over it the color won't be affected. I think I'll go explore more of the NYX liners.

That would be all for today~ thank you for reading.

Crystal Garnet Black-S Review

Hello ladies~ I'm here with a new circle lens review. This time it's from a new brand called Crytal Lens, they are also from Korea, these lenses were sponsored to me by Vero Hub~ Arigato!! Check out their Facebook page since they sell circle lenses at a much cheaper price than other shops, great service as well and the owner is very kind. If you are interested they also sell cosplay related items such as wigs. 。◕‿◕。

GEO Princess Mimi Almond/ Bambi Almond Review

I've always been a more loud color, 14mm diameter kind of circle lens girl. But recently there had been a rave about natural looking, dolly lenses that are 14.5mm-15.0mm in diameter! I had GEO Nudy Greys and the first time I wore it my sisters were like "Gah! You're eyes are HUGE!", I dunno if they were just exaggerating. So I'd thought I'd never go beyond 14.0mm.

I don't know if I can pull off 14.5mm diameter lenses. One of the OL shops, Japanese Candy recently had a promo of 2 pairs of lenses for 1000php ($40) for all the Bambi Series and Princess Mimi Cafe on their on-hand stocks. I had to grab that opportunity! And I know ever since Tsubasa Masuwaka endorsed it, there have been some mixed feelings about these circle lenses. I ordered 2 pairs, Bambi Almond and Bambi Grey, both have 14.5mm diameter. I'll talk about the Almond lenses in this review.

Here's a picture of the lovely Tsubasa Masuwaka wearing her Almond lenses.  Quite natural right?

Cosplaying and Updates :3

Sorry for the lack of posts lately, I have been really busy and forgot to update. Tsk~ *Guilty >3<* Anyway, I have had my first cosplay experience last August 16 at the SM Opening Sale here in our city. The organizers invited cosplayers who could attend the event. I always wanted to cosplay ever since but never got the chance to but now I have a friend who is an anime addict and cosplay fan such as me, we decided to give it a try.

I cosplayed SeeU from Vocaloid 3. I chose her because I'm a Vocaloid Fan (Luka, IA and Gumi are my favorites and SeeU as well). I just love her since she's so adorable and she's the first Korean Vocaloid, interesting right?
This is SeeU, isn't she adorable?

EOTD: Sexy Feminine Eyes and GEO BAMBI GREY review

This was supposed to be a sweet and inncocent girly look but ended up looking sexy and vampire-ish? I dunno, randomness just takes me sometime. ヽ( ̄д ̄;)ノ
